Our "little" project is growing! We continue to add to our Life of our Savior and Life of the Soul pages weekly. There are many, many coloring pages with many more to come. Next week we should have several coloring pages on Our Lord's passion and death with some on Easter to follow. We also added a coloring page for Ash Wednesday on our Lent page. Make sure to check them all out and keep coming back to see what is new.

March and April's children's planner pages are also up, including some exciting news to go with them! Starting in May we will be offering a printed planner for sale for both the Maiden's for Mary and Crusader's for Christ planners. That is in addition to the Holy Simplicity planner in which we will start taking pre-orders for PRINTED VERSIONS! Those pre-orders are expected to start late April or early May. If you have suggestions for any of these planners, things you like, would like to see changed etc. Please leave us a comment at the bottom of this blog post. We are more than happy to accommodate where we can and make these planners easier to use and the most productive for students and teachers.

We pray that you are having a wonderful week and contemplating plans for the Lenten season.

I am so pleased to hear about the printed planners! I was wondering, since the Advent study guide was ended, and the Lent one is not coming (I REALLY liked the Advent one, sorry if any of us were a cause of trouble).
I have been thinking about the layout of the planner... I have the pdf version of the Holy Simplicity, and would like a printed version. However, I have inattentive type ADD, and my oldest is ADHD, so we really struggle in some of the most mundane organization ideas because we can get overwhelmed with too much stimuli. With that said, here's an "order" that would work for us (but, not, necessarily for everyone, so you do what you choose): Having the year overview (year calendar on one page for quick reference), then all the montly pages (the two-page layout with feast days and room for general notes like appts), then the weekly pages. (ordered less to more detailed). Then, and indexed section of all the liturgical stories. I found it really difficult to switch gears and sift through all the stories to find the planner pages for the next month (even though I put tabs on them), if that makes sense. I can easily get lost in the stories when I'm looking for next week's schedule (when it's from the end of a month to the beginning of the next) next thing I know, it's twenty minutes later and I learned a lot , but didn't accomplish the task at hand.
Again, I know this may not be suitable for everybody, so I can always get the pdf again and rearrange it, then put it in a binder or have it spiral bound.
Thanks for sharing all your hard work, and God Bless!

Thank you Renee so much for your comments! They really are most helpful. We have some changes coming this year regarding the planner and one of those is making the articles from Catholic Life seperate. We are hopes that book is soon reprinted. If this is the case we will be offering a bundle with the book and the planner. We hope to get more info on that in the next month or so. Also instead of articles we will be placing journaling pages for feasts days in each month which will go at the back of the month. This will save from the confusion of locating a month. As you did I also found that difficult and a little time consuming.

Please correct me if I misunderstand but it sounds like the removal of the articles will solve the issue of the order that works best for you. With the year at a glance in the front for reference, the monthly double spread and the weekly behind that for each month. We have two, possibly 3 (unsure yet) children with ADHD so I totally understand!

The Life of the Soul and Life of Our Savior pages mentioned above are our replacement for the Lenten studies. Its free rather than in a paid book form. Hopefully they will prove useful and we are also hopeful these books are reprinted soon as well.

God bless!

Thanks, CeAnne! It would be neat to have the articles in a separate book format-- then they can be used year after year! I think it will probably solve any confusion with finding corresponding weeks closer together.
Would the journaling pages be for the children? Or planning purposes to help incorporate the liturgical year?

I would like to second the above comment! The Advent study guide was fantastic, and I'm sorry if any of us were the cause of trouble!!

Also, I'm so excited to hear that you will be printing the planners again! I use mine everyday! This is a small suggestion (and really not at all an important one) but the only thing I would add to mine is a "report card". Something simple that I could write the grades in for each quarter.

Thanks for creating all these fantastic resources!!

Erin- Thank you for the recommendation, adding a report card will be done! In the children's planners or the adult planner? Perhaps both :)

All-
As I don't want any of your to feel bad it wasn't anyone that caused us to remove the Jesse Tree Study guide. There were some other issues we had to resolve and we hope that we can reprint the original vintage book that was used in the study guide in time for Advent next year. Thank you all for your support in our projects and most especially for your prayers.

Thanks for the note, I look forward to the reprinting :)

I also wanted to add that I really like the way I can see my whole week without having to turn the page. Specifically, i can see what school work we need to do, activities, the current month/next month, even the dinner menu at the same time!

These are wonderful! I was just looking over the downloadable pages this morning and thought that it would be nice if the lesson planner for the children had a full month calendar at the beginning of each month. That way they could fill in their own activities, parties, appointments, etc. and see the entire month at a glance.

Thank you for all of the beautiful resources you provide!

Renee- The journaling pages will be for Liturgical Planning. Things like keeping track of crafts to do, shopping lists, activities, recipes, for Christmas gift giving worksheets etc. This will make planning easier and also provide a recored for the previous year's plans to refer to the next year.

We are also planning on putting in notebooking pages in the Children's planners for similar items.

Rachel- What a great idea! We will make sure to do that. We do have another child's Liturgical calendar in the works but it was separate from the planner. We will see if putting that in there will work otherwise we will just do a basic month calendar. Do you think a single page vs the double spread teachers monthly calendar would work? The child would write down single plans vs. a teacher writing down many persons plans.

Hi! I too adore the Advent study guide. Such a shame it was so difficult for your family. However, I find so many beautiful and helpful things from this blog-it's truly wonderful.
I have a simple thing-I noticed you had water glasses and laundry....a sims few line, maybe with a pan symbol...or something-in order for meal planning. So many times I have found myself thinking of dinner at 2pm....and I rarely am at a point I can jot it down. Being able to note that, and maybe even plan it (can you imagine?!) would be greatly helpful.just a thought.
Also-thanks for all you do. God bless.

Hi Brandy,
A good idea... I must admit you are ahead of me, having a week's plan but changing it at 4!
