Sermons on the Blessed Sacrament
Much of the tradition surrounding this feast day involves prayers and a procession. Maria Von Trapp, in her book A Year With the Von Trapp Family, has a most beautiful description of the processions in Austria on this day and how the little girls all wear white with veils held on by wreaths of flowers. The day is much like a wedding day for Our Lord. It is the feast day given to the Body of Our Lord since when the Holy Eucharist was instituted was during a time of mourning the church has given us a day where we can truly celebrate this great feast!
